Arcos was founded in 1986 with a great desire to promote and spread the viol consort repertoire. Arcos had its debut in 1986 with the Chamber Choir of Pro Arte/Rio de Janeiro. Arcos prepared an englih repertoire with Heloisa Madeira (singer) in 1987 and as a viol trio in 1992. Nowadays with the same goals, Arcos viol consort is back in the Brazilian musical scene.
